CushyCMS: Free and Truly Simple CMS

CushyCMS is a cool Content Management Systems (CMS) that is very simple. It’s absolutely free for unlimited users, unlimited changes, unlimited pages and unlimited sites.

This CMS is built from the ground up with ease of use in mind – for both content editors and designers. It’s such a simple CMS that it takes less than 3 minutes for a web designer to implement. No PHP or ASP required for this CMS. If you can add CSS classes to HTML tags then you can implement CushyCMS. It’s also a hosted CMS, so no installation or maintenance is needed either.

CushyCMS Main Features

  • Versatile – You define what’s editable and Cushy will take care of the rest. Automagically handling text, html and images.
  • Fast – Define editable areas of your pages with a few css classes, provide FTP details then you’re done!
  • Easy – No programming required and no server requirements. You won’t even need to train your clients / content editors.
  • Free – Unlimited free usage! Upgrade to the optional Pro plan if you like the service and also get custom branding, etc.

Content editors will love managing their content with this system. No training required, it’s just so easy. And it is, and always will be a free CMS. You can use it for professional use, you can even charge your clients to use it. The only catch is that if you make it your own CMS solution, with your own brand, then you’ll need to pay for the Pro plan.

Cushy will intelligently edit any element you place a css class of cushycms on as stated in the example below.

<h1 class="cushycms" title="My Heading">This will become editable</h1>
<div class="cushycms" title="Main Content">
  <p>More editable stuff here...</p>
</div>
<p>I'm not editable.</p>
<img class="cushycms" src="foo.jpg" alt="I'm an editable image!" />

    Cushy is old news. You’re better off using Surreal CMS or PageLime.
